The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Show Xbox Isn't Giving Up Yet.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Dedicated Xbox communities are now publishing content about PlayStation as a new development. The past year represented an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. However, judging purely by what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with quality releases on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

The two games currently accessible today, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass in the coming weeks that's worth getting excited about.

Significant Forthcoming Releases

On Jan. 13, Game Pass will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that breaks up typical Ubisoft design with a cosmic robbery tale. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "the perfect cocktail of terror and combat."

Compelling Indie Titles

Yet, the less-hyped additions coming to Game Pass soon deserve recognition. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, an unjustly ignored roguelite offering thrilling gameplay, drops on Jan. 7th — and it's worth experiencing even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year might get its hooks in you remarkably quickly.

Atomfall, a survival title with stealth elements by the developers behind Sniper Elite, is another one to watch. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.

A Well-Rounded Collection

In summary, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, nor are they massive exclusive blockbusters that justify the service alone. But Microsoft's additions here are exceptionally strong. It offers a healthy blend of older titles you may have skipped and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they were due initially — transforming them into ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.

Be prepared to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
