Skydance Paramount Will Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – Update
Paramount Skydance will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, cutting approximately 2,000 positions in the United States within a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the union of Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Additional international job cuts are anticipated, with the company intending to disclose full details during its third-quarter financial update set for the 10th of November.
Prior news stated the firm aimed to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 jobs by early November.
As of December 2024, the company employed almost 18,600 full- and part-time employees along with 3,500 contract workers.
